Testimonials
I am really thankful to Jane and Kate for their extraordinary work on behalf of our brands over the course of 10 years. They positioned our brands in the U.S. market, always building consistency, quality, and innovation. I know it is not easy, but they always kept our brands top-of-mind when there was talk of Chile. I am thankful for their dedication and passion. It has been a privilege to work with you!!
Strategy, pragmatism, experience, and analysis are among the assets we have come to expect from CPalate, typically delivered in a manner that comes across both as effortless and fun. We never feel lost in the crowd, and always consider ourselves thoroughly looked after. Not least, we enjoy Kate and Jane’s positive energy and solution-driven approach, combined with the sense of culture and worldliness they bring to the conversation. It is simply nice to work with you.
Where to begin? Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working closely with Jane and Kate at Creative Palate across a wide range of client projects and in numerous capacities. Whether it be complex road shows and on-site immersions with Wines of Alentejo, Wines of Chile, or Wines and Foods of Spain, or content creation and collaboration for the California Wine Institute’s ambitious Capstone California online platform, I can think of no PR and marketing agency I would rather work with perennially. Their savvy insights, formidable ability to deliver press at an event, behind-the-scenes strategy, and creative thinking are remarkable, and the quality of their written materials and editing skills are gold-standard.
I have a high regard for Jane and Kate’s manifest professionalism, as well as their personal and intellectual values. There’s an old Chilean saying, “en el detalle está la trampa,” meaning “the trap lies in the details.” Creative Palate understands the details and how to sidestep the traps. Based on Wines of Chile’s experience, Creative Palate’s counsel and strategic approach is consistently thoughtful and sincere and, above all, in most cases they’re right!
Weingut Nik Weis- St. Urbans-Hof had the pleasure of working with Creative Palate for several years. We always felt ourselves to be in very good hands when it came to promoting our winery and our wines. Jane and Kate are an extremely professional working team with long-time experience and a complex network of valuable contacts in all the markets in which they represented our business. It was a true pleasure to work with CPalate.
CPalate was truly an asset to our organization. They brought experience, passion and focus to our PR efforts and executed carefully managed campaigns that increased the visibility and image of our company and brands throughout the industry. Not only that but Kate and Jane, with their candor and wit, are an absolute pleasure to work with.
We have had the pleasure of partnering with Creative Palate for close to a decade. What a difference it makes working with a principal-led team, rather than a revolving door of junior execs! Jane and Kate’s combination of in-house and agency experience provides an enhanced understanding of the wine business, not to mention an extended network of contacts. Creative Palate blends creativity and strategy to deliver intelligent, newsworthy programs that move the needle and provide excellent ROI. We appreciate their candor and conviction — Jane and Kate are rarely backwards about coming forwards! Their partnership is one that I treasure and enjoy.
Our initial project with the ladies at CPalate involved a German brand with a young, up-and-coming wine maker. They devised an excellent program, working their strong relationships with wine journalists nationwide and digging deep into ideas designed to capture consumer attention. After such a successful first outing, we went on to work on several other brands together over the next five years. CPalate’s professionalism gave our portfolio the attention we were looking for.
How to Optimize Your Wine Brand ~ A Press Junket Punch List. July 3, 2022
A reputable PR company can help you narrow that down and pinpoint it, and then goal it forward, aiming high. One person that comes to mind is Jane Kettlewell of Creative Palate Communications. Jane is an exemplary representative of all that which is good about the PR business. Here’s a nugget that Jane shared with me:
“Given that such trips cost a fortune and entail a massive amount of time and planning, Kate (co-founder) and I and our clients try to set parameters. These include figuring out specific media outlets we wish to reach, securing representation from a cross-section of publications (lifestyle, travel, wine, and food, primarily), and trying to establish the chances of coverage. A writer or publication’s circulation and numbers are also part of the criteria.
You both put in so much effort into the calls. And you present them well. Which is why I enjoy them and learn so much from them. Not all wine zoom tastings I attend are as well-organized and well-thought-out as yours.
